RISC Insurance renewal is upon us. All Agents must purchase their renewal policies through RISC Insurance by June 30th, 2026 to avoid penalty fines by TREC. Please be sure to send a copy of your certificate to the office at: trapaperwork@gmail.com
Code of Ethics Training (required by Dec. 31, 2027)
All REALTORS® are required to complete ethics training of not less than 2 hours, 30 minutes of instructional time within three-year cycles. The current three-year cycle will end Dec. 31, 2027.
NAR offers two online options:

Fair Haven Training (required by Dec. 31, 2027)
REALTORS® are required to complete Fair Housing / Anti-Bias Training upon becoming a member, and every 3 years thereafter, coinciding with the Code of Ethics training timeline. This requirement is in addition to the Code of Ethics training. Qualified training must be of not less than 2 hours of instructional time. The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®. This requirement began January 1, 2025 with a deadline of December 31, 2027. Alternate classes are available. Please verify that any other courses are TAR approved. "Free" for Realtor Members.

Scam Alert: Perry will not ask you to buy gift cards!
Some bad players are at it again. They are texting TRA agents, first to confirm you got the text, and then they will ask you for a favor to purchase some gift cards and send them a photo of the card numbers.
There's another version where they will say we need to be picked up, and then they'll ask for money. Thanks for knowing we would never do that!

2026 Calendar Year Commission Cap
Effective January 1, 2026, the commission cap will be $9,000. After an agent has contributed a cumulative calendar-year total of $9,000 to The Realty Association (company dollars) from the 10% portion of each commission, they will be paid 100% of all subsequent commissions received until the end of that calendar year.
Congratulations to all of you that have already exceeded the cap this year. We love writing those 100% checks!
